ABOUT DR MOHAMMED IBRAHIM

Dr Mohammed Ibrahim is the founding and principle prosthodontist at Dandenong Dental Implant Centre with over 35 years of experience in dentistry.

After having graduated in dentistry and practicing general dentistry for 19 years across the middle east and in New Zealand, Dr Ibrahim obtained his Masters in Dental Surgery specialising in Prosthodontics from Otago university in 2005. During his time in Otago he was involved in teaching dental students at Otago university. After finishing studies in New Zealand. Dr Ibrahim moved to Melbourne where he opened up his specialist dental centre in 2007. Dr Ibrahim’s training involved various courses and certificates including advanced implant surgery and bone grafting techniques from the IDEA Dental Education Academy in San Francisco, America.

Dr Ibrahim’s clinical practice includes minimal invasive dentistry to improve aesthetics and look and function of teeth, implant therapy crown and bridge dentistry, full mouth reconstruction and rehabilitation as well as fixed and removable prostheses.

Jaafar is a registered specialist prosthodontist with more than 10 years of experience in specialist practice. After graduation with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004 at Otago University, New Zealand, Jaafar completed specialty training (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry) in Prosthodontics at Otago University in 2010. In 2016, Jaafar received his PhD at the University of Western Australia. He is also a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons. His clinical practice includes the full scope of fixed and removable prosthodontics, implants, aesthetic dentistry, crowns, bridges, bite correction and full mouth rehabilitation.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor in Prosthodontics at the Melbourne Dental School. He is heavily involved in academic teaching, continuing professional development and dental research related to prosthetic dentistry. Jaafar has more than 60 scientific publications. In addition, he is a regular reviewer for numerous international journals, and is a frequent local and international speaker on various topics related to prosthodontics. As a result, he is fully updated with the most recent developments in dentistry and the state-of-the art dental treatment. He holds membership in the following professional organizations:
